SmartHouse uses the Ameren FastTrack HVAC PAYS app to assess their home and generate an Ameren FastTrack HVAC PAYS Offer, showing projected energy savings, rebates available, amount to be advanced by Ameren, and the final system cost for their new, more energy efficient system.
When Olivia and Michael accept, SmartHouse will schedule and install their new system. Any funds advanced by Ameren are deducted from the total due and repaid through easy monthly payments on their Ameren bill. Olivia and Michael can pay the remaining balance (copay) at installation by check, credit card, or by choosing one of SmartHouse's flexible financing options.

The program provides rebates and other benefits for a wide variety of residential heating and cooling systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces, subject to program requirements.
Is the FastTrack HVAC PAYS program a loan or credit card?
The program provides upfront cost reduction through rebates and by advancing a portion of the purchase price, to be determined by Ameren. This advance is then paid back on your monthly Ameren utility bill. It is not a credit card, there is no credit check, and it is not tied to your credit report.
What if the advance provided by Ameren doesn't cover the full initial investment? (What is a Copay)?
The advance provided by Ameren will reduce the amount due to SmartHouse on the day of installation. Any remaining amount due (copay) can be paid by credit card, check or by flexible financing options offered by SmartHouse.
If I participate in the program and move before the charges are paid, who is responsible for the remaining cost?
Because the program is tied to the meter (and not the customer), the next homeowner will enjoy the net savings from the investment and be obligated to pay the monthly charge until the costs are paid back.
Can a system installed through the Ameren FastTrack PAYS program qualify for the 25C Federal Tax Credit?
Yes, homeowners who install a qualifying system prior to 12/31/25*are eligible toapply for the 25C Federal Tax Credit.
*Federal tax credits for high efficiency HVAC equipment expire on 12/31/25.
